Halloween 2010 and the Start of November
Alright, I think this is the last of my “catch up” blogs.
Since the REAL Halloween was on a Sunday this year, I decided to go to the party that my school was coordinating for Friday the 29th. I dressed up as Sookie Stackhouse (but brunette) from True Blood, because I already had the components for the costume. Bonus: I got to wear running shoes all night. True Blood is not a popular show around these parts, so few people understood the reference. But I put some fake blood on my neck where a vampire had bit me, and that seemed to help some people.

- not Eric Northman or Bill Compton, but I did find a vampire.

The party was pretty really boring… Which sucks because I paid £5 for the ticket, which came with one free (WEAK) drink - and I had to pay more to check my coat at this club that I paid on my VIP night with Sarah, at a members club! Tell me what that’s about. Then I had to buy another super weak drink for £6.60 which is like $11. Annoying. Not to mention we were shoved into the back corner of the club and we had about 6 feet of bar to work with, and only one bartender for like 200 people.
So I left with a couple people to take nighttime pictures of London. We were down by the river anyway, so we really didn’t have to walk far.

That’s basically it for Halloween in London. Pretty disappointing actually.
I spent the weekend working on papers for my International Marketing class. We started this class last Monday, October 25, and that day we were assigned basically four papers that are all due NEXT Monday, November 8. I have drafts done for two of the four, one is 20 pages and one is 10. I assume the next two will end up around 10 as well. Sort of ridiculous, but I guess it’s a Masters program so they can pile on all the work they want and we’re just going to have to rise to the occasion.
From tomorrow through the rest of the weekend I don’t have class, so I’m expecting to keep on writing, revising, and editing. It’s really very exhausting.
