Updates…
Once again I apologize for the space between blogs. These past couple of weeks have been busy and hectic.
New Years was a great time. I went out with a friend from class and some of her friends to a club. There was live music, and it was tons of fun. Probably the best New Years Eve I’ve had in a long time.
After New Years, I also went out with Sarah again to a VIP club called Whiskey Mist. She had a couple of friends visiting from their Peace Corps duties in Morocco, and they came too. It was a really fun night. We partied with, according to his personal bouncer, the biggest spender in town. And the world boxing champ, David Haye showed up too (but he was ridiculous and didn’t want pictures).

Classes started again this past week. We literally just had two days of class left (though they were 8 hours each) for international finance. It is unbelievably painful to sit through one hour of finance, let alone eight. Just one more thing that my school is really really good at - scheduling.
On Tuesday night I went out with some friends to central London. We were going to a bar that has a balcony that overlooks Leicester Square, since there was a movie premiere happening right underneath. Unfortunately, it was a tiny premiere, so we couldn’t see anything. Instead we stayed at the bar because it was happy hour with 50% off everything. Great.
NOT.
I got my purse stolen. Luckily since we were at the bar, I had my wallet with me, and also luckily I had my iPhone in my wallet. But my favorite (and completely irreplaceable) purse was stolen, with my iPod, camera, UK phone, umbrella, mittens, and tube pass inside it. Despite a police report and a desperate call to the bar to see if my purse was turned in for some reason, I have heard nothing and don’t expect to.
Check that European experience off my list for sure. Luckily, my mom is the greatest and is helping me out with some of the things that need replacing.
Next Tuesday I have two finals - web analytics and international finance. So I’m studying allllllll weekend. It’s great fun, seeing as it’s impossible to pay attention for a full finance class - and even MORE impossible to pay attention to ANYTHING in a web analytics class. Soooooo borrringggggggg…
It makes it a little harder to study when all I can think about is going to PRAGUE next Thursday with 5 super fun girls. We’ll be there from the 20th-22nd, and I expect it to be insane. I was originally planning to go alone, then it became me and Amanda… then it became me, Amanda, Abby, and Asheley… and now it’s me, Amanda, Abby, Asheley, Taylor, and Robin. It’s going to be a crazy fun weekend and a great release post-finals.
I am also starting to officially plan my post-graduation trip with my best friend Alex. It has now turned into a Mediterranean adventure, rather than a full European adventure. Greece, Italy, Spain, and ending up in Paris for a couple of days. Anyone with advice on Athens, Greek islands, Rome, Pompeii, Naples, Barcelona, Madrid, or Paris… fire away! I am very lucky to have a well-traveled cousin and a few well-traveled friends who have helped me out A LOT already :)
So that’s what’s been going on here. Writing this has been a nice break from additional funds needed, future values and present values.. Now back to studying SHARE VALUATION. Aren’t you jealous?
Here are a couple of pictures of my view of London:
