Prague! Czech it out!
As some of you may know, I went to Prague from January 20th to January 22nd. Originally it was going to be a trip on my own, and then it turned into a trip with one girl, and before I knew it we were going with a total of six girls. Needless to say, it was a very crazy and fun time.
We got there the evening of the 20th and settled into our hotel. Then we decided to go out to get drinks and dinner at a place called the Beer Factory. Everyone that has been to Prague already always says it’s a great place. Each table has its own beer tap, and they track how much the tables consume on one of the TV screens. So it’s basically a competition to see which table can drink more. I hate most beer so I did not partake, but that didn’t stop us from getting pretty high in the rankings. We were also the only girls in the entire bar.

The next morning everyone managed to wake up at a decent time, miraculously. We headed over to the metro station across from our hotel to go into town. We all decided before we left to book a bike tour of the city. Now why we thought it was a good idea to do a bike tour in the middle of winter, no one knows, but only half of us ended up going on it, me, Abby, and Amanda. The other three girls, Taylor, Asheley, and Robin, did their own walking tour while we rode bikes.
The bike tour was a super good time. We managed to stay reasonably warm, and we got to see a lot of cool things.

- The Municipal House and Powder Gate

- “Fred and Ginger” or the dancing buildings

- Weird baby barcode face sculptures. I almost died here.

- We loooved the John Lennon Wall. And we are also in 2 places at once (back foot on Maltese territory, front in Czech territory)

- People lock their love onto this thing. Cool.

- Charles Bridge

- Dudes peeing on the Czech Republic
After the bike tour we went into the tour building to warm up, and ended up getting talked into the same tour company’s pub crawl for that night. It ended up being a really really fun time, and totally worth it for the money. There were free drinks for the first hour before we went to the bars, and then free shots at each bar. We were already planning to go to this 5-story club which is the biggest in Europe, and the crawl ended there anyway - plus cover was included at each place we went. Pretty sweet deal.

And we met up with a few guys that we hung out with for the rest of the night, which was fun. The girls who didn’t do the bike tour met them earlier in the day, and somehow they just showed up on the pub crawl. Two clubs, and then we ended up, like I said, at the biggest club in Europe which is 5 floors of different music and dance floors. So much fun.
Once again, the next morning we all somehow woke up at a reasonable time to eat breakfast, check out, and go to Prague Castle. It was super beautiful. I thought it was really strange that the only place that we could take pictures was inside the cathedral, and not in any of the non-religious locations.

After seeing Prague Castle, we walked back down into town to get lunch and walk across the Charles Bridge.

After that, it was time to head back to the hotel to collect our stuff and get to the airport.
It was a really fun few days, and just what we all needed after finals and everything. Of course with six girls there was a little drama here and there, but overall the trip was one of my favorites ever. Prague is simply beautiful and tons of fun. I’m so glad to have made some awesome, hilarious friends to share these experiences with.
